About the Author
Dr. Samuel Milham is a physician-epidemiologist specializing in public health. He has more than one hundred scientific publications, many dealing with the health effects of electricity. In 1997, Dr. Milham was awarded the Ramazzini prize for his pioneering work in describing the occupational cancer risks of electromagnetic fields. He lives in Olympia, Washington, and Indio, California, with his wife, Sherry, and dog, Monte.

GREAT BOOK!

Have already been thinking about microwaves and WiFi things coming from my phone service. A year and a half ago, I got sick, lost my hearing in one ear and half in other & have vertigo and balance problems. I had often wondered if laptop and being so near to wifi phone modem was cause of being sick but blamed a cold.. I had been using my computer notebook which was just under my internet modem a lot over 2 months. I noticed my face would be red and hot after using my computer. I stopped using land line phone and started using nettalk which is hooked to internet modem. I started thinking about multiple phones that were WiFi too and had one by my bed that just plugs into an outlet. My electric clock was there too on the nightstand. I already unplugged my big refrigerator and use small one in basement. My outside a/c unit ran out of freon so got a small window unit for$100 with turn knobs not digital. Worked fine for my large house enough to survive. I blocked off all but 3 rooms and live in them. I started to turn electric off to my internet if I wasn't using it. Then read this book. So author not the only one thinking about dirty electricity. I even turn off surge protector that have my tv, recorders and netflix device plugged into when I go to sleep at night. I now keep all cordless phones in rooms that I don't use much. I will try to use a few of the house filters especially the phone/wifi area and tv surge area when I can afford it. Wish I could afford the tester too but can't right now. I'm not working due to my hearing problems and balance. Also, had to stop using my microwave because the noise/waves drove me crazy to be in same room. It was my deaf ear that it affected. Also refrigerator was too loud too. I'm saving lots of money turning off most of my electricity. Use mostly led lights. Took out one compact flouresent in livingrm.

Should be Mandatory Reading

All folks who work for the cell phone companies and the electric utilities should be made aware of the public health dangers that are explained in this book. I just finished this and also ZAPPED by Ann Louise Gittleman and have made serious life changes as a result of the two. (She mentions Dr Milham throughout ZAPPED)
Dr Milham is an epidemiologist and mentions early on in the book how he wasn't as interested in finding cures to diseases as he was in finding their causes. At first I wasn't getting him. Then a light bulb went off (really bad choice of words, I know...) when I realized that if disease is preventable then you don't really need a cure at all. If skateboarding on the interstate was the cause of several kids suffering from broken bones then would you try and develop a miracle 'cure' for the busted bones or would you simply sit them down and say "STAY OFF OF THE HIGHWAY YOU MORON"? You get the idea.
Read this book and ZAPPED and save yourself and your family.
In just 2 weeks my massive, four alarm, Robin-Williams-grade ADHD symptoms have started to subside w/o medication. If dirty electricity isn't real then I suppose ADHD isn't real either. Trust me, ADHD is real, just ask any one of my friends.
Again, read this book and ZAPPED and save yourself and your family.

What an Eye Opener About Hidden Dangers of Electricity

Dr. Milham’s book opened my eyes to something that we need to pay close attention to. He may very well have uncovered the 20th century diseases of civilization all caused by electromagnetic field exposure. That means rethinking everything and that’s a problem quite frankly for our society to grapple with and so it’s no wonder we hear very little about EMF.
As someone who recently became involved in the business of renewable energy I was particularly keen to learn as much as I could about all aspects of the industry. A colleague referred me to this book. The debates about climate change are raging as I write this review as a new republican president is about to take office. His up coming presidency throws the whole question about fossil fuel versus alternative clean energy into what might be another strangle hold struggle for superiority from what was previously considered a slam dunk in the face of unsurmountable evidence of global warming. That being said this book adds a whole new dimension to the debate currently raging around climate change that both the advocates for and the anti climate change folks need to take seriously.
The writing style of the book is excellent. It is simple to read and moves you a long the story line like a novel. I finished it in a couple of hours - not that I am a speed reader or anything but more likely that it was so illuminating I had to read on. The autobiographical nature combined with clear anecdotes, case studies and insights are a must read. I will be making this a must read and purchasing copies to pass on to friends. It’s a Christmas present for some for sure.
Thank you Dr. Milham for a your tireless efforts over the course of your life. Thank you for my newly discovered knowledge and the power I have to try to make a difference in uncovering the hidden dangers of electro magnetic field exposure. I plan to make educating people about EMF and implementing solutions to this issue a core part of my business. I highly recommend this book!
